simulator that serves as a versatile, safe and robust tool for concept of operations
(CONOP) development, Research & development (R&D), and functional testing that benefits from the realistic action, range of motion, and ergonomic capabilities of NASA’s xEMU suit.
The EXCON suit exists in both lightweight and load-rated models. For the lightweight version, users benefit from Earth weight that mimics loads on the body borne in a Lunar environment. On the load rated version, Atlas’s innovative structural frame support offers easy attachment to commercial off -the-shelf (COTS) fall protection lines for CONOP testing at height.
